Yacht service, berths and crew across the Gulf

Yacht hauled out for service in a Gulf boatyard, workers polishing the hull

Boats in the Gulf do not age by years, they age by summers. Fifty-degree deck temperatures, AC plants running around the clock and water warm enough to grow a reef on a neglected hull: ownership here is a maintenance discipline, and the owners who enjoy their boats are the ones who outsource that discipline properly.

The desk is not a yard. It is the network that knows which yard, which chandler, which crew agency and which marina office actually delivers in each country, and what should route to Dubai instead.

The honest geography of Gulf yacht work

Every owner here learns the same map. Routine work, engine service, antifoul, most electrical: handled in-country at the majors' agents and marina yards. Serious refits, paint, major fibreglass: Dubai remains the region's yard, and pretending otherwise costs owners money and seasons. We scope the job, tell you which side of that line it falls on, and manage the delivery trip if it crosses it.

Country pages carry the local reality: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait.

Crew and management, sized to the boat

A 55-footer used on weekends needs a good day skipper and a washdown arrangement, not a payroll. A 27-metre with an owner who entertains needs a permanent captain, an engineer on call and provisioning that just happens. We place vetted crew at both scales and, under management, turn the whole thing into one monthly statement: berth, salaries, maintenance schedule, insurance renewals.

The running-cost math by size band is in what a yacht really costs in Saudi Arabia: the same logic applies across the Gulf with each country's berth prices swapped in.

Thinking of buying instead of fixing?

Sometimes the honest service quote is 'sell it'. When a survey shows a refit bill approaching the vessel's value, we say so, and the sales desk can run the exit and the replacement search in one motion. The survey checklist shows how we judge that line.

Frequently asked questions

My AC died in July. How fast can you help?

Send the boat's location, make of the AC plant and symptoms on WhatsApp. Urgent calls get worked first: in the main marinas we can usually have a refrigeration tech aboard within days, and we tell you honestly if parts must come from Dubai.

Can you find me an annual berth?

Berth hunting is half diplomacy, half timing. We work the marina offices directly, know where lists actually move, and will tell you plainly when a marina is full versus slow. Say the boat's LOA and draft and we start.

Do you place full-time crew?

Yes: captains, engineers and interior crew with checked references and Gulf visa experience. You interview, we shortlist and handle the paperwork trail.

What does management cost?

It scales with the boat and program, quoted flat per month after we see the vessel. One statement, no surprise invoices, and the maintenance schedule stops being your problem.
